Hey! Glad You Stopped By...

     Pleasure to meet your acquaintance.  I'm aspiring author Caroline Wheatley.  Words are my passion, the thesaurus my best friend, and mystical places my favorite place to be.  I live in a small town in the Midwest, but hope to travel and excite an undiscovered story inside me.  I've been writing since the age of 12, and created the plot for my most treasured WIP at 13.  I'm now 18, and thrilled to be able to start my writing journey in earnest.  This blog will be a major check point in my barely budding career.  I will let my imagination run wild and post numerous short stories, and sprinkle in some essays or book reports to spice things up.
     Let it be known that fantasy is my heart, and romance my love.  Many of my works will have these themes or genres.  But I'm always open to new worlds!  Especially if I can create them.  Now, let me speak in passion in a bit broader tone...
     I feel as though books, and writing or love for words in general, is a drowning art.  I have heard so many people say reading is "boring" or "stupid".  But as a child, books were my life, and today I sign my name proudly in every book I purchase.  So part of this blog's mission i to reignite the hunger for books, for words; for the excitement to turn the next page and the sorrow felt when the last page was turned.  And, maybe, along the way, ignite that fire under some of my own stories.
